Accessibility statement
We want anyone to be able to search for research opportunities, regardless of how they use the web.
Our target
BrightStudy aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA where practical. Accessibility is checked as part of each release rather than treated as a one-off audit.
What we do
- Semantic HTML with landmarks, real headings, lists and a skip-to-content link.
- Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Every form field has a persistent label, helper text and errors announced to assistive technology.
- Text and interface colors are chosen to meet AA contrast ratios.
- Layouts reflow to 320px width and support browser zoom to 200% without loss of content.
- Animation is minimal and is disabled automatically when your system requests reduced motion.
- Images carry meaningful alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Progress through the multi-step form is announced as well as shown visually.
Known limitations
Study listings contain text supplied by sponsors to ClinicalTrials.gov. We present it as posted, so wording can be technical and we cannot rewrite it. Links to ClinicalTrials.gov lead to a third-party site we do not control.
